Marabella

This is Marabella!

I am so excited to be showing this at Market! It will be available at a quilt shop near you in February!

Most of you may know that I lost my beloved mother several years ago of thyroid cancer. She was and always will be an inspiration in my life. While I was drawing Marabella, my sister gave me a box of my mother old paintings and doodlings. I was so excited. I took one of her drawings and added a little twist! Can you guess which one was my mothers? Those of you who already know (close friends and family) don't guess!

Love you Mom, wish you were here!

First of all - this collection is lovely - seriously WOW!!!
As for which one could have been from your mother - I think I would lean towards the tulip flower one or the flower with the 3 petals and circle in the middle. They are all so great - how can anyone know

Jenny said...

Funny, but I thought the same as your first commenter...the 3 pointed flower with circle in the center...but then my second guess was the large circle pattern. all so nice, and how wonderful to see your mom in your own prints!!

Audrey said...

Congratulations Amy--I'm so excited for you!!! I'm guessing the three-petaled flower. Have fun at market!

Oh Kati your new line of fabrics is so special! I just love the colors and the designs, but the significance of the patterns is heartwarming! Marabella is beautiful, as I am sure your mother was, and your memories are of her! I think that the three petals with the large circle in the middle is the doodle...I used to doodle something similiar--it is a flower. Well, I know I will be buying your line--without question! Thanks so much for all of your work!
