Please Forgive Me!

I have been a terrible host! I'm so sorry, LIFE has taken me by the pants and it's taken me a while to get grounded, okay I'm not grounded, I've decided I may never be. I fly by the seat of my pants, I'm disorganized and things are NEVER going to be the way I want them to be. So like Joe says (my buddy Meldas husband) suck it up and move on!

I will try and be better. I've been working my little tail off. We got the shop moved and are settling in. Marabella will be in soon! I loooooooooooooooooove it! It has been so exciting sewing with my own fabric, I can't even tell you. Here is what's just about off the press.

My Favorite Bag. It's huge! It measures well, let me go measure it. Be right back..................................... okay it measures 15 1/2" tall x 16" wide and 5" deep. It's a great everything bag. I have a diaper wipes case that I'm debating adding to the pattern, so let me know what you think. The person that gives me the very best answer will be the first to have one of My Favorite Bag Patterns.

Hey--we all fly by the seat of our pants! Isn't that what it's all about? LOVE the new bag pattern! And the little diaper wipes case is SO CUTE! Two new babies on the way in our family (grandbabies, that is!)...hmmm...if I can just get my hands on that fabric--I have plans!

That bag is fabulous! You should totally include the diaper wipe case with the pattern. I use them for the obvious, but I also have one that ends up carrying other kid related stuff. Sometimes it's a pack of colored pencils and a little book, sometimes it's mail that I need to remember to drop at the post office and I don't want it to fall to the bottom of my bag. They're pretty versatile. What a great bag, though! I can't wait to pick up a copy of the pattern! (and fabric, of course!)

I LOVE that bag... but I LOVE the fabric even more AND that diaper case... well, totally CUTE!! I don't have children, but I did have surgery last year (that's all I want to say...) and I WOULD totally use the case (well leave it at that or way "tmi" will happen).

So, bottom line (literally) add the case in!!

Love the bag, the FABRIC, and the little case too! So cute! Can't even imagine how fun it must be for you to create with your own fabric!

That's ok, I'm only organized if I'm stressed and busy! Does not make any sense at all, when I have the time to be organized that's when I'm at my worst! I love the bag! And since I'm pregnant and due in June, I'm thinking that could just be the bag for me! Of course you have to add the case! Even if its not used as a wipe case, its still cute and I would use it! And I love Marabella, beautiful!

This is the cutest diaper bag. Love it! I would include the wipe case. It would just take this pattern over the top. I need to get a pattern and get one made this spring.

This is a gorgeous bag and I would love to make it. You should definitely include the wipes bag. Besides using it for personals, you could use it to hide money from your kids. :-) Thank you for the wonderful patterns. Take care and God bless, Cory

Love the bag and that beautiful fabric, and together they are fabulous! I love the wipe case too and think you should definately add it to the pattern. I always carry wipes, they are super handy, and that adorable case could be used for lots of things!

The bag is beautiful. I would put the pattern in for the diapher wipes. It's very cute and it might just be the extra that another pattern does not that sells it. I like to have wipes with me in the car. In my purse, I have tissues, but sometimes the wipes go into my purse. Go for it. :)

I think you should add the diaper case. Many people, myself included, don't have small children, but love pouches of any sort. The more the merrier, no?

I too am flying by the seat of my pants. I just started a bag-making business and it has just taken off. I actually just finished my husband and daughters' custom snuggies (don't laugh) last night! They are so patient. I am hoping to be more organized and productive this coming year...now how to do that? Hmmmm

Your bag is wonderful!!

I don't think I would add the diaper wipes case. I think it signifies to the buyer that it is a diaper bag (as some of the comments have already shown "what a great diaper bag...")
By including it, the consumer immediately views it as a diaper bag only--even subconciously-- and you may limit the sales of your pattern and overall view of your product. however there is no harm in photographing the diaper wipes container with the bag for the back of the pattern and offering it as an add on pattern sale or something.

I am in no way meaning to burst your bubble. I just don't want you to limit your audience before you even begin...
Just my 2 cents...
p.s. love the bag!

I love your new SASSY bag! The bow is adorable and can be so interchangable:)The diaper wipes case is a great bonus too! (of course it could be a dual purpose kind of thing too/couldn't it?!!
P.S. Glad you returned to blogville, you were missed:)

Love the bag! Yes, yes, and tripple yes, and the wipe pattern. I'm beyond that stage in my life, but I sure that it can be used fpr other things, pencils, pens, or maybe lip gloss you know a girl needs her lip gloss! Welcome back and congrats on your new fabric line.

Amy, Oh my word we have missed you. Love the fabric...love the bag and my girls think the diaper wipe case is a must. Hope you all had a great Christmas...I will so be in when all my kids head back yo Arkansas and Ohio(sob, sob) and it is just me and my machine and definately some of your cute fabric and one of your patterns or two : ) to keep me company!

Julia said...

Here's my two cents...I think you should add the little bag in but not label it as a diaper wipes case, because then people will think of the bag as only a diaper bag, when it really could be for anything. If you put it as an added bonus bag for the inside, then people could place their OWN label on it. As in a bag for their lipgloss/lipstick, or sunglasses, keys, makeup, etc...

welcome back! :) Love the bag... and the little one too but I say make it it's own pattern! :)

The bag is smashing :) I think the smaller bag should be included! It could be used for so many purposes--instead of letting everything slide around in this large bag--they can be collected. I'm so inspired by your fabric and patterns. Thanks!

I love the fabric and the bag. I think the wipes case would be nice too. Did you have the bag with you on Sunday? Congratulations on the new fabrics and new location:)

Mary on Lake Pulaski said...

Oh Amy, the bag AND the fabric are a perfect combination!
Yes, please add the wipes case to the pattern! What mother doesn't need to include wipes? And for that matter, even if you don't have kids, wouldn't it be awesome to just have them available for mom's who don't have access to theirs or any mess that should arise when you are out and about??? Yes, I would be way cool with the bag AND wipes in a matching packet!

Ummmm, maybe this is a good time to confess... my 'baby' is seven years old, has been potty trained for 4 years and I stiiiiiillll carry wetwipes, I call them 'cleanups'!! I can't seem to survive without them, whew, I feel so much better after this confession.

In case, I have not been clear, yes, pretty please, include the ww case :)

Oh wow! Let me stutter for a minute. So glad you are back. I really love that bag, awesome details! Ya know, I really love when someone uses a pretty scarf for a belt. I've been hiding my waist lately so I'm not gonna use a belt, but it would be nice if I had a bag that had a scarf for a belt. And definitely include the wipes case in the pattern, those cases come in handy for so many things, especially for quilters! I can't wait for your fabric!

Such a beautiful design for the bag. How can you not love it? It is gorgeous. As for the diaper wipe case, you should definitely include it. It is very versatile not just for diaper wipes, but it can be used for your rotary cutter, glasses, tissues, notions, even a wallet. So yes, even if you don't have kids there is a use for it. Love it, love it, love it!!

This bag is super cute. Would make a great diaper bag I think you should add the diaper case and maybe some options of pockets on the sides of the bag to hold bottles and whatnot

Do it! Keep it! It's simply adorable!

What a marvelous bag! I don't care what you call it, it is just the right size. The baby wipes case should definitely be added to the pattern. I am a mom of four who is now a grandmother to eight! I learned a long time ago that baby wipes are the ultimate carry along not only for wiping mouths, hands, and little bottoms, but they are incredible for spills on clothing. I wouldn't be without them or a bag big enough to carry them in.

In this case, less is not more. More is more. We would love another little pattern to go along with this bag!

The bag is so wonderful...love it.
Also love the diaper wipes and it would be a fun addition to the pattern. Wow and the million different things to use it for, or use lots of them for.
I am curious...is it pockets on the from like it looks to be or just quilted panels.
Hope business is going well, Happy New Year! Congrats on the fabric..I remember seeing the sample when I was in Rigby it looked great!
Oh and flying by the seat of you pants is the only way to go.....keeps things busy and exciting!

What a beautiful bag! I am a purse/bag girl and I love love love it!

I think you should definately add a diaper wipes case. My kids are 5 & 8 and past the point of diapers but I still carry a few with me because of the little messes that seem to pop up whenever we go out. Even if I didn't have kids I couse see myself using that size bag to organize makeup or checkbook and pens, etc. Very versatile!

Love the bag and the small case. I would not call it diaper wipes as I think the bag could be used for a variety of purposes - including just a large "purse". The small bag could hold cosmetics or whatever! Would love the pattern!
BTW that's great fabric, too!

Simply Jessabells said...

Love the bag. I wouldn't use it as a diaper bag but if you were to market it as a diaper bag pattern I guess a baby wipe case is a great addition.

Nancy Tucker said...

I adore your bag and case for wipes! I think the case added to the pattern would be great for the on the go Mom's that still want to be stylish.

Angie said...

Love the bag and everyone's comments, too. The wipe case is just too darn cute not too include in the pattern and you could just label it as a pouch or something else rather than a diaper wipe case, but really to me it wouldn't matter. I would be snatching that up if I thought I could sew it. Really love how the fabric "ribbon" comes through the grommets. A nice touch.

Dawn W said...

Darling, Adorable, ... I say go with the wipe pattern too. You can never have too many bags, no matter what the size. (With something that cute, you can always find something to put in it!)

Lisa said...

Gorgeous...i don't typically like the girly things but i would carry that bag it's so cute...and actually that's why i don't carry a purse..i have to carry diapers and wipes still..

Melda said...

You know I love the bag! And ofcourse I love the fabric but I loved that you didn't put me as your adoptive mother, just your buddy Melda. Just kidding, you know I love that I am your much to young adoptive mom!

I am currently making your very cute diaper bag, but have some questions. I have been sewing for more than 50years, and quilt a lot, however I wonder if you have had other requests for clairifications? Do you try to fuse the peltex on top of the fleece (if so it is impossible to get an iron to do that) or should I have fused it before I added the fleece to front and back? The instructions certainly suggest to add it after the fleece. Also I have figured out that the magnetic closure needs to be attached to the lining side, however you are totally vague about this placement. It would be better to use book space to direct the location, instead of explaining how to attach the magnetic catches. They do come with instructions.
I do love your designs
