Sew Crazy! Sew Fanatical! Sew Creative? Sew What?

Sew Crazy! Does that describe you? Well it describes me on certain days...certain days for sure. Sew Fanatical.....all the time. Sew Creative? Well we are all creative in our own way and I love that about being an individual. Everyone is different...thank goodness and all create differently! I love the creative process and how it influences my life.....it really does. Does is influence yours?

Well I've hit the fanatical and crazy day all at the same time and that is when things get interesting! LOL.....

I've been a sewing maniac the past few weeks and the truth is I've enjoyed almost every minute of it. Here is a sneak peak of Elloise not fully constructed of course, and Millies Closet by Lorie Holt you can see the whole line here.

Spring and Sewing....What Could Be Better!

Sewing is so Therapeutic! I love it...I'm not sure what I would do if I couldn't sew.... I have been working with some wonderful new fabrics by some fabulous Riley Blake Designers.
Peak Hour by Kellie Wulfsohn....... check out this fun line of fabric Here Big....chunky.... and all about boy! It's so darling. If there is something darling for our boys there is always lots of choices for our cute little girls. My pick....Apple of My Eye by designer Amanda Herring of the Quilted Fish. I love the bright crisp colors for spring and summer. Check it out Here.

Sisters

I have often wondered what bonds sisters together. It is only biological? Or is it something else. Does everyone have it? Or is it something you have to work on?

I was 23 years old when we lost our mother and it's been hard not having her around, especially when times are difficult. We still have eachother even though we are far apart! I am so thankful for text messaging and facebook (something I've just started using) to keep us up to date on our daily happenings.

The day after Thanksgiving I found out that I have several brain tumors. My oldest sister Jen (on the left) flew in from Ohio and my younger sister Julie (in the middle)drove from St. George to spend a week with me before my first surgery. Huge sacrifices were made by both of them (and their husbands and children) to be with me. It was so comforting to have them close during such an uncertain time. Looking back, I am so grateful.

It's been three weeks since my first surgery. I've been through a lot and experienced many miracles and praying for a few more. One of the most important thing I've learned through this experience is to enjoy those whom you love now. Take time for the most important things in life and be happy.

Vintage Snowmen Cuteness! (Give-a-way)!!

We had a sisters retreat this week and have been busy crafting. I love getting together with my sisters because, ..........well they are my sisters, and because my sisters are so so creative it hurts! They get my creative juices flowing! I know, I'm spoiled! What a great Christmas gift.

I've been busy the last few months......mostly with family but I did squeaze a little me time into the mix and this is what I've come up with. My walk through the park........

The Terrible Twos Aren't So Bad!

I've decided that being a mother is a lot of work. It's not like I haven't known this for the past sixteen years but those of you with teenagers know the terrible twos aren't so terrible when you hit the mean teens! Laughing one minute and crying the next (that would be me, not the teen). I'm sure there are a lot of you out there that can relate.... Lots of praying and therapy!

On a good note...... I'm about ready to release my fall patterns!
